Draft back in action?

Taken from a friends journal. Anyone want to talk about this?

I never realized how many people I know are affected by these bills. Taking a look at my buddy list, all but 3 or 4 fall under the 18-26 age range. All the people I've gone to school with these past few semesters not to mention all the people I went to high school with, and almost all the people I work with... We all might get drafted into a fricken war.

It feels like there's something else to this though... I mean, this is the first I've ever heard of it, and it's been introduced in 2003? So let me get this straight. I've been going to college for 6 years now, and I'm about to graduate. Now I can fight a war? Right. If I wanted revenge for September 11th, I would have enlisted by now. But I haven't. Let me quote myself for a sec. This was said about a year ago...

Would I go to war if they did the draft again? Yeah.. Probably. Not for any of the bullshit reasons our President is spouting, but just so someone else doesn't have to take my place out there.

Do I still believe it? Yup.

Oh well. I've had enough of this. Time to write to the Terminator.
