Wow. Have you played Animal Crossing? Of course you have! Check this touching video out...

So I was watching this documentary on KTEH, "The War: Nisei Soldiers." It's a great little piece of work detailing the Japanese veterans and it gave pretty good interviews on the Nisei generation. I mean really good. If my grandparents were more vocal about the war I could see them saying some of this stuff. It kind of made me wish that I asked them more about what their life was like... I got to thinking though. We're really lucky. I know most of us are either Sansei or Yonsei and look at how far the Japanese people that were interned came. We're only 70-80 years away from a time where our grandparents had absolutely nothing. Literally nothing! No property, no home... It took quite a bit, and guess what? Here we are, living fairly well lives in our late twenties. Did they think that a few generations down the line we'd be where we are now?

I'm not going to get philosophical or anything like that... The real reason why I wanted to post was that at the very end of the documentary, they had a voice over of a chant. And when I heard it, it took me BACK. I bet you know the part that I heard... the AAAaaaAAAaaaAAAA daaaa buuuuuu....." haha yeah. And guess what? They faded in to Rev. Sakamoto and friends during 2007 cemetery clean-up. Saw a few familiar faces including Mrs. Hironaga :) So check it out when you get the chance. (I think I see Danielle too, but I'm not quite sure... It's been a while....)
