Thoughts on the upcoming holiday season...
(1) I hope to see everyone over Thanksgiving weekend. Thanksgiving is a good time to spend with family and real friends. We can all meet up after that.
(2) As for the traditional Christmas giftgiving, I came up with a plan to mix it up a little this year. Normally, we pretty much expect to give and get some stuff. This can involve a lot of frustrating brainstorming followed by tremendous expense (or, it can involve brown-bagged beef flavor, depends how much you care heheh). Instead of going through all that fanciness, how about we each figure out how much we normally spend, then use that money to get something special for ourself. We can all meet one day and surprise one another with our perfect gifts. No need for secret returns or hidden disappointment! No need to ask about anyone's current DVD collection! Then, just for fun, we can still get each other gag gifts if we happen to think of or come across good ones. And those are usually cheap. =D

I bought some Thorlo tennis socks. They're padded extra thick and it feels like I'm running around on pillows out there (in a good comfortable way, not an awkward get-foot-stuck-and-fall-on-face way). I recommend them to all sports playaz (they make em for basketball too).
